anyone know about tropical tanks or can point me to a group?
I've had a tank for years but yesterday when I bought Mollies the LFS told me to add 1g aquarium salt per litre to the water now and again in a couple of days to keep them happy. He said this would be OK for the other fish and acts as a tonic. However when I search to find out about the other fish opinions seem divided. I have a Bristlenose catfish and 4 corydoras sterbai and some sites say they are intolerant to salt. I've already put the first lot in and everything seems OK but should I put the second dose of salt in? Thanks.
Hubby had aquariums over the years. He said if he had Mollies by themselves he'd put salt in, but if they were in with others he didn't.
If that's any help? 
yes thanks, I think I'll leave it with the little salt I've put in and see how they all go.
