A day with Poppy the chocolate lab

Following on from losing Molly the black lab this week.....I am "dog sitting" Poppy today whilst her dad is out all day....Poppy is still a little confused about where Molly is so I suggested that whilst he is out today he brings her round to my house so she still has some company......was that a good idea LOL....she immediately went to sleep on my sofa (knowing that I allow her but dad doesn't) so think she is making the most of being spoilt LOL. Just hope that when she goes back home she stays off his sofa!!!

Love having the dogs here....I get the best of both worlds really....walk the dogs on a daily basis (and have them to stay when he is on holiday) but don't have the financial responsibilities of food and vets bills.......oh and the bl**dy hairs on the floor!!!

have a great day one and all....I shall be off for a nice long walk this afternoon....hopefully dodging those pesky April showers

I'm so happy that you feel like this now. The sadness of her passing over the rainbow bridge is now fading. Have a lovely walk, I'm sure you'll both enjoy it immensley.

Enjoy the walk, and having poppy. In general, I wouldn't worry about the sofa, they seem to be able to distinguish where they are and what applies.

Super walk this afternoon. Something that I don't normally do on a Saturday afternoon when it is a free listing weekend LOL.

At the time of typing this (5pm) Poppy is sat next to me snoring her head off. There is a feeling of comfort when a dog does this....shows they are happy and comfortable!!! Mind you she has taken up 3/4ths of the sofa whilst I get pushed into the last remaining 1/4th LOL.

Poppy sounds really relaxed.  The dog we used to have used sleep on my bed.  He was only small but he wanted the majority of the bed.  I think dogs are brilliant and they are so loyal.
