true, I've cut back some cotoneaster so OH will have to do some more of the fence where he couldn't reach last year! I've got paint to do the summerhouse but look at this rain, it will be damp now, and to think how lovely and dry it must have been last week.......sigh.....
I can't wait to have my own little shed, I can keep it tidy, and not have to worry about OH coming in and putting stuff all over the place......

I have my own shed, it is untidy but that is my fault, as I was given a potting bench at the end of last summer, but I haven't put it together yet it will look great when I have done it, I even have my own chair in there, no leccy though which is a shame, as I could move in.

We have wind and rain here so it has definitely not been fit for gardening or any other outdoor activity. We don't have a shed but as I have said before, we do have a greenhouse with stuff in and the bulky stuff is in the garage.
I hope that the weather picks up tomorrow so that I can get some more work done outside.

Just back from the beach & out of the wind it's really warm.:)

Last week I had a few days off to attack the garden amongst other things. Got all my shrubs, roses, buddlei tidied up.
Visited the garden centre and got 3 tomato plants (different types) and they look as though they have almost doubled in size in a week.
Courgette and pumpkin seeds planted and some have already germinated. My raised beds have been tidied up. Although last week we had wonderful weather, yesterday we had 4 seasons in 1 day.
Planted up my herb pots which my mum gave me for Easter!
Also gave my mum a hand in her new (to her) house and garden. My brother went in with a chain saw and removed about 3 trees - what a difference!

You have been busy Rose. It's surprising what a bit of sunshine can do! lol I need to get some compost & will then get some tomato plants.:)

Blimey Rose you have been busy. We always start our tomato plants from seeds. The free ones we got from Gardener's World have all started growing along with the others we planted.

I think that we have cloud forecast for tomorrow but we shall see. I'm taking my mum for a food shop tomorrow morning and she'll wear me out. On Wednesday, Steph and the girls are coming so if I did do any gardening, I might have a little helper - if you could call it that.

I will be out there again if we don't get the sea fog again. It is so chilly & damp when it rolls in. I did a tip run so I am ready to start filling the bags again.:)

Just picked this, the first of the season.
Crumble anyone?
14-04-2015 3:22 PM
Mine isn't ready for picking yet!

Thinks I will partake of some crumble please CG.
I did a bit of weeding the front garden earlier but I'm shattered as I didn't sleep well last night.

My rhubarb is coming up...usually a good crop - but then it is planted near the septic tank
14-04-2015 6:16 PM
We don't have a rhubarb plant. We used to have one but I don't know what my mum did with it.

they're only £4.99 here for a crown Chris...get one and have a go, nice crumble you made yourself..lovely! mine is ready to pick, and I moved it, so I'm really pleased it taken.
if the weather is as nice as predicted tomorrow I'll be planting a philadelphus, a clematis, and pricking out the aqualigia that Ed gave us the seeds to.
didn't do much today, lazy moo....
14-04-2015 8:28 PM
I shall look into a rhubarb crown CB. I fank you.
Not much will get done tomorrow so that's why I did a little bit in the front garden earlier. I must have a look for a climbing rose whilst I'm out tomorrow. I've got just the place for it.

I just can't seem to grow rhubarb, have bought 4 crowns at different times and they have all just vanished (died?) It growns on the grass verge further up the coast but just not in my garden! Have finished digging the new vegetable plot at long last, was hard work and I don't think I will ever be able to straighten my back again but am happy with the end result. Have seedlings on every windowsill and some doing better than others but I think I'm a bit impatient, can't have a shed or greenhouse as they have a habit of blowing away - the gales up here can get pretty strong, I've lost 3 greenhouses in the past 14 years.
