Senders fail to update buyers on delays in sending, resulting in negative feedback. Ebay should automatically ask sellers why items have not been dispatched, and change a sellers listed dispatch times to reflect their performance. Easy software change for ebay.

eBay nudges Sellers to dispatch quickly, and dings them for late dispatch. But there is also a long-standing issue with eBay advertising confusing dispatch windows on items, especially for Royal Mail 2nd Class which is now delivered every other day. If I were to get my items to Buyers in the time that eBay displays on the listing, I would need a time machine! Whenever I buy anything these days, I ignore the eBay delivery window and use my common sense instead. It makes it much easier to keep calm and reasonable.

Then the seller should state in the listing how long it will take them the wrap an item, take it down to a parcel shop etc. If there is a problem with a pick up the seller should immediately inform the buyer, not just leave it for days and days, that is just lazy, and not likely to get a good review. Most delays seem to be the 'seller' listing items they have not got, which they then get elsewhere and sell at a profit.

You are obviously entitled to your opinion but a lot has changed since you last sold, especially for private selling accounts.
I agree though that communication could be better, from sellers and ebay.
