Does anyone else find it rude, I have contacted a few people asking politely if they have received their items, and get no reply whatsoever, I think this is just pure ignorance x

Some people tend to buy and then sign out, they'll deal with messages etc with they log back in.
I would just assume all is okay unless they contact you saying otherwise.

Contacting people to ask if an item has arrived is simply inviting the unscrupulous buyer to say No and open an Item Not received case.
As advised, don't poke the bear.
