Hi all I recently received feedback ratings from a sale, the buyer made a mistake and gave me a poor rating, which doesn't match his comments, eBay do not have any mechanism to change the ratings even when my buyer has said sorry and wants to correct the mistake - eBay say that you can contact the buyer for a feedback and rating revision but you can't, you can only revise comments, extract from eBay says " To try and resolve the issue, we recommend that you reply directly to the buyer's Feedback, or ask the buyer to revise their original rating and comment" so what do I do! Thanks

Positive [green dot] feedback cannot be revised and unless things have changed seller ratings [stars] cannot be altered.

Thanks for your reply which is appreciated.

I accept this is the way it is but I believe a change mechanism should exist for genuine mistakes.

Can you not get the buyer's agreement in the messages, contact eBay via a callback, and then ask that they remove the feedback and overall rating completely?

Hi - no EBay cannot change the detailed ratings, so I have nowhere to go, I tried everything to be honest and now I am exhausted - so gave up…it’s a flaw in their systems/process but so be it - thanks anyway - kind regards John
