A seller advertising refurbishment of motor mower cylinder blade cassette (5th May 2024) has not returned either my original cassette with a refund for work not done or a refurbished cylinder blade cassette. Unfortunately it is 4 months now of me contacting the seller with replies of promises to complete the work and returning it, together with various other excuses why the work has been delayed until eventually he claimed he had returned it but his courier has lost it although he would send me a replacement.
I gave him a date of 19th September to complete the work as contracted and return it to me, that date has passed so I have now stated a small claims court case against his company for refund of money (£144.99) paid for work not done and the cost (£350) for the purchase of a refurbished second hand cylinder cassette from ebay to replace the cylinder he claims is lost.
However after making enquiries via a facebook forum of the town in which he personally resides for his business address (I have his registered business as a limlited company) I have received several personal messages from people who know this individual advising me he is a bullying, unsavoury charcter who makes money by selling at boot fairs (has my cassette ended up there?) so I do not hold out a great deal of getting any money back as he, using a Ltd. company is not personally liable for the companys debts.
However there may be other avenues, (maybe criminal activity) so I shall be taking advice from the citizens advice bureau as to where to go next.
My main question is .... How do I contact ebay to advise them of my predicament so no one else has the same problem as me? Although on ebay he said he was not taking anymore orders for this service as he was inundated with work!!!

Unfortunately eBay won't get involved especially as you have now started legal proceedings.
Have you contacted your payment provider and, or PayPal [if you paid that way] regarding a refund for services not carried out?
However they might refuse to become involved because of your legal proceedings.
