Yesterday I received a package but on opening it found a pack of bubble wrap instead of an Amazon Kindle Scribe I bought.
Seller says he definitely sent it but Royal mail slipped it through the letterbox and I was the person to open it and there wasn't anything in it.
The package itself looked wrapped multiple times with sellotape and the label with my name was untouched. On opening it, the Amazon package tape looked a bit carelessly done.
I have never experienced this before and specifically bought from a seller with high reviews to avoid any fraud.

Open a return (not a "not received" case) to get your money back. So start a return on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Doesn't match description" and if necessary escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Thank you. The seller was curt and asked me to open a case. I opened an item missing case.
Do I change it? How do I do so please?

No, that should be OK. "Doesn't match description" is a good all-round option but item missing should work too.
If the seller doesn't co-operate remember to escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Thank you so much.
I didn't have any sleep last night from beating myself up about making this big purchase from Ebay and found this community this morning.
I will wait and escalate to Ebay as seller said he can't do anything per his reply to the return case.

Best of luck. You should get your money back without any more problems but if anything else does crop up please come back and post another question.

Thanks a lot, eBay asked me to return for a refund.
On the same day, the seller sent a message claiming it was a mix up. Im now debating on what kind of review to leave for them as they were curt and unhelpful: like based on the image I shared, they should have realised it was a mix up instead of trying to accuse me of dishonesty.
What do you think?
