Most mobile phones these days come with pre installed software that you cannot uninstall unless your phone is rooted. One of these is Amazon shopping. It is installed on Samsung, Sony, Huawei, LG, Google etc. but eBay is not important enough to be considered part of the necessary apps for your phone. It sits in the wings like a prom girl without a ďate until someone takes pity and installs it. A few years ago it would have been the other way around but thanks to the mismanagement of the ship, it is barely afloat compared to the likes of Amazon. Instead of launching campaigns to get buyers back and offering them the world, why not give sellers that opportunity and reward them with discounts for increased sales and turnover. Make the sellers who are not loyal to eBay, who offer a poor service (determined by better service metrics), who are only interested in the almighty $ and not good customer service and after sales experience pay a higher final value fee.
Let the sellers get the buyers back by offering lower fees.
Lower fees = lower prices = more customers to the site. Stop being pressured by shareholders and let the sellers bring back past glory by rewarding them instead of continually screwing them.
