Good afternoon
Can you please look into this issue:
Item was brought today via ebay global shipping programme, I printed off the postage label ready to drop off at the shop.
However, the ebay tracking states it has arrived at the Global shipping hub. Well, I am looking at the parcel now, so it is clearly not at the hub. See photo attached.
Every item we send overseas is telling the buyers it has arrived at the UK GSP centre the day of dispatch, when clearly this is wrong.
Please do not tell me the EDD is working, as I am sick of being fobbed off. I have reported this issue several times with reply.
Order number: 02-11312-59697
Best wishes

What is the plan re dealing with additional charges caused by the GTC listing duration glitch this month. I have 1,480 listings that were started on 1st March and are set to renew a day early on 31st March instead of 1st April as they should. This is going to cause me to be charged £88.86 in additional listing fees that I don't owe on 31st March. Are ebay working to correct the error and extend all affected listings by one day before they reach the renewal date? Or are they going to either give free listings on 31st March or refund the additional fees incurred? I need an idea of what the plan is please.
Hi @rainbowjam
I'll have to look into this after this chat, if memory serves there was a tech issue for this but I'll need to look into it to confirm.
Thanks,
Dave

More EDD issues
Can you explain how when I have both listing set at two day dispatch one is showing ordered 11th dispatch by 13th which would be correct then order two is showing bought on the 12 and dispatch by 18th?
Both items have different postage policies set up but both have two day dispatch.
Order one item number: 285663354646
Order two item number: 276061029928

Again thanks for copy and pasting what I have already read.
The issue is when I spoke to the Vice President of eBay about a major flaw on her platform she had no clue about it, also other management, so whomever you are passing this info to are doing such a terrible job they hide their mistakes. It just seems pointless bringing anything up, I've had to either chase for updates because you's claim you will update when something changes, but dont or you claim everything is working as planned when its not. Hiding behind the info is for internal use only seems like an easy get out when the management claim they never get told about the issues dont you think?
Hi pg_kicks, thanks for your reply.
I see where you are coming from. However, I can guarantee you that all feedback is being passed on and reviewed, but the weekly chat will remain the same, and as explained in previous replies, you might not necessarily meet someone at the roadshow who is aware of these updates.
Thank you,
Marco

I've escalated this to the GSP team to investigate. I'll come back to you with an answer ASAP.
Thanks,

There is the option to go into an order and click on the tracking to direct off site to the courier website if we need to see more detail (delivery photo etc).
Since a recent update it isn't as user friendly as it used to be. If I click on an evri tracking number it directs me to the evri site but now it doesn't carry the tracking number across so I have to manually type it in or screenshot it, copy and paste.
The tracking number still carries across for Royal Mail ones as normal but I am not sure about other couriers besides Evri.
Could you ask the relevant team if they can fix this as it is time consuming when it was always a simple click or 2 away.
Thanks

Thanks for your question, oakley_home_and_gifts.
We have reviewed multiple cases of EDD at the moment, and we haven't found any issues. I understand where you are coming from, but this is working as expected. EDDs are dynamic, so based on different factor such as service type or shipping address, you might get slightly different dates for each order. If you wish to know more about EDD, you can review our Help Pages on EDD here.
Thank you,
Marco

Thanks Dave, greatly appreciated.
As mentioned this happens for all the items we send via the global shipping programme. I have already reported several via online chat and heard nothing back, and still the same issue.
Best wishes

It's not just the EDD but showing dispatch on order one by by 13th which is correct. Order two ordered 12th with 2 day dispatch by the 18th. How is that working correctly?

I'm speaking to one of the guys about it now.
Everything on the back end looks fine so it seems to be an issue with how its displayed on your side. Its OK to send the item as normal.
They have escalated this on to site guys to see exactly whats happening and I'll come back to you as soon as I have more.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi, I posted a message yesterday regarding sellers of so called 925 sterling silver jewellery, sold for a few pounds, with free post.
They are using "925 sterling" in the title, some, in the specifics and even some, in item description, but almost all list them in the "costume jewellery " catagory, not "fine jewellery "
As a jewellery seller, I know the price of genuine items and could not even hope to buy the items at this price wholesale
Reported numerous listings and all came back with "we looked into report and didn't find listing to be in violation of our policies "
A little detective work found numerous identical items on Temu (the ebay sellers have even kept the same photos as Temu!!) And not one has any mention of 925 or sterling, or plated for that matter, all are alloy
(Strange how Temu are more honest about their listings than ebay!!!)
It is not only harmful for genuine jewellery sellers, (who will pay £20 for a ring, if they think they can get it for £4.99 free post?) But it's also duping customers, into believing they are buying an item made of precious metal (aside from the obvious health problems as a lot of "alloy" items coming out of China contain some pretty toxic stuff, lead, being one of them)
Ebay seem completely indifferent, judging by response to the reports.
