Weekly Chat with the eBay Community Team - 01.04.26 @2pm

Hi everybody!

 

The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible.

 

Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!

 

This week, our eBay Community Team is made up of kat@ebay dave@ebay and marco@ebay. Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, Fulfilment, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. We understand that certain topics, such as concerns about businesses possibly using private accounts, can be frustrating and important to you. Please refrain from asking the same question repeatedly in our weekly live chats. We assure you that we carefully review all posts in the forum and ensure that your concerns are communicated to the relevant teams for appropriate action.

Hi . Good afternoon . I just want to leave some positive feedback regarding simple delivery . I have sold 4 items using sd and I find it a lot easier to use the custom delivery.

Shops wouldn't particularly affect EDDs, but I do understand where you are coming from. If you wish, I can send on your negative feedback for review, but just to set up the right expectation, I can't confirm that the feedback will be removed unless qualifies for removal.

 listing vintage hammers .first one i get Domestic postage

Simple Delivery is unavailable for this item. Learn more 
so i can put in age verification but the next item jumps to simple delivery and can not list as no option for age verification ?

For me this has been an issue since they introduced the buyer protection fee. It is order by price not including the fee. So quite often lower business sellers (like me) are having higher priced private sellers items showing above theirs on the list - frustrating and I have brought it up several times.

The request total option is not always available on the App. It will usually show in the cart at the top of the items but depending on the version and device the buyer is using it may not be available. 

 

It's usually best to use a desktop or laptop if possible as it will always be available if the seller offers combined shipping.

Age verification with Simple Delivery at the moment is not available, so you wouldn't be able to do that as of now, this is something that was flagged before, and we've referred to the shipping team.

Following up with an update from tech on this.

 

The search results from lowest to highest can appear incorrect due to the below two factors

1.  It includes postage and packaging so it can show one item looking cheaper than the previous but with the postage added on it is actually more expensive.

2.Multi variation listings are also included and taken into account in results so these can appear out of place when sorting for lowest price.
