'promote It ' key inadvertently pressed

Hello  folks,

A bit of a question to other private sellers ,has anyone else inadvertently pressed  the pale blue ' promote it' key  that  is above all their  active listings?  I'm a bit paranoid about this now as a number of my listings seem to have upgraded themselves to promoted listings , along with the  associated fees incurred.

I have never deliberately tried to promote my listings as I question the benefit v cost equation.

The  pale blue banner key that I speak of  covers about 20% of the screen area  in my active listings , and there is another strategically placed key when creating or editing listings to promote items, this is directly above the key that one presses to go live.

I can only think that I have caught one of these keys accidentally whilst scrolling and  sealed my fate to the elevated selling fees for little or no benefit.  Is it possible to deactivate listing promotions permanently?

Go  to Advertising Campaigns to deactivate them.

But you can't do anything to permanently stop you from creating campaigns. You just need to make sure you are aware of what you are clicking. It isn't just one click to start a campaign from the area you stated though.

Re: 'promote It ' key inadvertently pressed

This morning I noticed that a fishing rod that I have listed had been promoted again , I definitely haven't done anything other than scroll past this item in my active selling list  and I certainly haven't pressed a second key to agree to promote., i suspect there is some sort of glitch or sneaky software being used to add promoted listings fees to my account.
