eBay is no good for purchasing

Yet yet yet again I've been promised a delivery date but it has passed without receiving the purchase.
All the good sellers have left and gone to Amazon due to high fees charged by eBay. The result is we're left with the false dates that hook the buyers in with unrealistic delivery dates.

I got the tracking number but the info shows item not yet posted. The seller is always sorry for the delay and promises an investigation, I've heard that one a dozen times! 

eBay will keep them in business because eBay just grabs the fees. I've said it before that I'm closing my account with this latest episode it looks more likely I will finish buying on eBay

Ebay provides the buyer with an estimated date range for delivery at the point of purchase.  It has nothing to do with when the label is printed.

I paid for an item from a business seller who had a good feedback %.
If as you say, nothing is exactly what's listed can be taken as precise, then the sale of goods act is being broken, would you agree? It clearly stated the date I should have got it, not estimated until I got the tracking number.

details pertaining to delivery time frames are mainly now in the consumer rights acts.

• Unless you and the trader have agreed otherwise, the goods must be delivered within 30 days after the contract is made.
• Agreed Timeframe: If a specific delivery date or timeframe was agreed upon, that timeframe must be met.

Do you know what the word estimated means? Because it doesn’t mean ‘specific’. EBay cover the buyer very generously in this regard as you certainly don’t have to wait 30 days to make a claim for home delivery.

This is getting pedantic.

I know exactly what estimated means, But this word wasn't used in this case. The date was clearly shown as exact.

Enough said, I know what I read when making the purchase. There was 1 date for 1 day delivery not a 2-3 day slot or even longer.

Where? At what point? Because that is important. As far as I know, on eBay at the point of purchase the dates shown are always estimated.
