They want you to cancel the order so they don't get a strike on their account for non completion or out of stock. They should honour the deal if they have made a mistake as you have bought it for the listed price or won an auction . You can wait until the due date and then open an item not received case. If you choose to do this, I would not communicate with the seller through messages and just go through the Ebay procedure.
