VAT

Hello, I haven't used ebay for a while, but I have now bought 3 items from UK sellers and I have been charged VAT on all 3 items, is this a new policy or a mistake?

The VAT will be on the buyer protection fee,  and possibly the postage.

If it's on the item it's either because the seller is VAT registered or overseas.

It's not a mistake or a new policy, other than ebay charging buyers the buyer protection fee and handling postage, are both newish.
