Sellers listing false prices

Cab eBay stop the listing practice where the seller has multiple items in order to list the main item at a lower price, for instance a phone is listed as X price but that is the price for the charger on its own , the phone itself is another much higher price. 

May be this isn't fooling anyone but its just time wasting to go through listing's to find the actual price of the item.

They would need to police their search manipulation policy.

given they tend not to police many policies, I’d say the chance remains slim

Absolutely agree.  With variation listings there should be a limit on the difference between the cheapest and most expensive option.  A large shirt may cost a bit more than a small one for instance but they shouldn't be allowed to include a single shirt button for 99p just to manipulate the search.
