Payment release in 2 days after delivery is not always true

Well just recently sold an item for £50 used ebay delivery / tracking etc duly delivered on the 14th April positive feedback received payment not being released until 17th ? Not the 2 days then .....

The explanation given this morning is because it's over £25 it takes a day longer which apparently whilst i couldn't find that anywhere in any ebay policy  is  the internal policy which is not privvy to the public ( that's me ? ) yet more red tape to put off private sellers its very sad that ebay seem determined to get rid of us & don't appear to understand without sellers no buyers

Not saying what you were told is true, eBay have a reputation for talking rubbish but in terms and conditions they allowed themselves to make changes without notice.

Off memory that started around a month ago now, so they can basically do what they want, whenever they want.

Well Cs are partly correct in their answer for you.

Items under £25 , if feedback is left will release the payout sooner,  within 2 days.

Items over that amount such as your £50 item feedback will not help and it will not be released in 3 days but only with tracking here showing delivery will it be released 2 days after that delivery date.

With no tracking ?  The payout is held for 14 days.
