Item delivered to wrong address HELP!

 I purchased an item last week, the tracking number says it was delivered 2 days ago on 3rd July but I have not received it! I have checked with my neighbours but no one has seen it. I went to Royal Mail depot who contacted the postman but he can't remember delivering it. I have phoned Royal Mail customer service but was told it has to be the SENDER who puts in a claim for the missing parcel not me. I have messaged the seller but he is ignoring my messages. I can't open an Item not received because the tracking number on ebay says it has been delivered so it would automatically close in the sellers favour. Please help, i don't know what else to do?

Does tracking show GPS coordinates of where it was delivered ?.

Yes it does, but interestingly when I paste it into google maps it can't find the location 53.7313721° N, -1.6511542° W

Does Rectory Drive mean anything to you ?.

Have you tried entering the tracking number on Royal Mail's Track and Trace page, rather than relying on the tracking info on here? The delivery person might have taken a photo at point of delivery.

Thanks yes I'm in Rectory Drive but it doesn't tell you which number it
went to. I think it's probably been delivered next door but the problem is,
no one lives there so I have no way of getting it back.

It was scanned at no. 10  - if that helps - mind you could have been scanned in the street opposite number 10

Contact ebay on chat and explain as you have here in your original post, ask them to open a case for you, be sure to mention that you have already contacted the seller who has ignored you and that there is no actual confirmation of where it was delivered to etc.

I recently bought an item from the US which was shown as delivered but I did not receive. The tracking was great while the package was still in the States but once it arrived in the UK there was no more tracking info or Royal Mail tracking number. The seller wasn't interested so I contacted eBay, they opened a case and I was refunded.
