Is it just me or Yodel too slow ?

Past few item I bought which the seller used Yodel to deliver has been very slow.

Even the day after the package has been picked up from the collection point/store the tracking doesn't give definite day of delivery. Sometimes it just says "We have it"  for days and all of a suddent the guys at your doorstep.

Yodel are just awful in my opinion.
Why do their deliveries take 7 to 10 days when other couriers can do it within 3 days?

I am still awaiting a Yodal delivery 13 days and counting - shows they have it on the system?

Yodel package at there sorting hub for 2 DAYS without moving...not impressed at all

The last three things i brought this year were sent with yodel and all took more than two weeks to arrive after they had been posted.

We don't use any more Yodel & Evri.  We had to sue Evri because it has been impossible to get compensation from them for lost parcels since December. They successfully deliver Next Day parcels but standard delivery parcels get lost 1-2 out of 10.

- Yodel has terrible service. We sent a parcel and after 4 days it was not delivered. Tracking showed that the parcel was in their warehouse. We contacted customer support with a question about when the parcel would be delivered, they told us that the tracking was lying and they had not received this parcel yet. 🤣This is ridiculous.

The only adequate services are Royal Mail for small parcels.

Yodel are very slow my parcel from Yodel not even collected by driver at pick up point for 3 days

Yodel, Hermes/EVRI, Amazon couriers are making online buying a nightmare. I find that only Royal Mail delivers safely and securely to me - in my hands. The others are employing cowboy drivers who are in such a hurry that they dump packages and run. Remember when you could look forward to receiving a parcel? Those were the days. I now get umpteen emails "updating" the current whereabouts but the info is useless because mostly the courier is moving my package between departments which mean nothing at all  to me. The only essential info is: (1.) Item has been dispatched. (2.) Item will be delivered -- date and time. 

Worst of all is the dreaded email advising "Your item has been delivered" when in fact it has not -- It really means it was dumped and you need to go look for it!

Agreed. 100%. 

Yodel and Hermes/EVRI are the chief culprits in making deliveries a very bad experience for buyers. 

Sellers should wake up to the amazing current services from Royal Mail, who will collect your outgoing parcels from your door and safely deliver them into the hands of your buyer.

I just had my first Yodel delivery for a while.  8 days to travel 70 miles.  I could have walked it in half the time.  Absolutely not good enough.

What do you expect with Yodel every one thinks great they are so cheap, the fliip side is yes but you could be waiting weeks for something to arrive as the idiom goes... "You pay peanuts, you get monkeys"

Yet again I’m experiencing the same encounters as everyone else they are useless I have messaged the company twice and the only reply I have had is that they are sorry and it’s on its way. The last message offered me a £2 refund. It’s not a refund I want I want my product on time. The company who are selling on eBay need to act Otherwise customers are going to get bad reviews that will reflect to the business as are using eBay. I agree with earlier comment to use Royal mail all my parcels through eBay delivered by Royal mail  have indeed arrived safe and on time we need to sack off yodel and EVRI Cowboys!! Another frustrated customer. LOL some Temu stuff gets here quicker?? And may I add Royal mail service.

Iv had the opposite experience with Yodel. I use 'Yodel Direct' rather than Yodel and always use the 'Collectplus' tracking number which appears on the receipt from the drop off shop. I must have sent 1000 + parcels over the years with them and if you use the Collectplus tracking number on ebay it updates daily and everything gets there within 3-4 days  and iv barely had many issues with delivery within the 1000 sent.

I’m I’m shocked and in amazement by my comments regarding some eBay sellers who use inadequate companies that cannot fulfil their contracts for their customers from a statement it’s on its way! To a statement it will arrive in the next 2 to 3 days and now a statement stating it will be delivered in the next two hours. I rest my case it appears the cowboy company yodel have now decided to change their tactics to satisfy my needs this action only shows up exactly what I’ve been mentioning eBay sellers listen to these comments and get companies in that can get the job done. I await my parcel with anticipation? I will however not blame the driver but the system to which this company operates
