EVRI stating delivered when it wasn't and then backdating their tracking

Purchased on 30th June where the seller used EVRI, opened a case for non delivery on 9th July.  eBay put on extended hold until the 20th.  In the meantime EVRI tracking stopped on the 11th stating it was at the delivery depot, it stayed that way until 17th.  Then on the 18th it was updated to say delivered on 11th July at 8pm.  It never was and it had never once been out for delivery.  This made the eBay case close, of course.  I appealed the decision, got a refund, explaining it was given on a 'one off' basis not because EVRI had not delivered it.  This is very worrying as it gives EVRI carte blanche to abuse the delivery tracking, I expect this could be happening to many.  The backdating on the EVRI tracking is surely unacceptable.  If this persists it will mean the money back guarantee is meaningless.  I kept screen shots of the tracking during the period as this issue was not the first time.  I am currently waiting for a reply from EVRI for proof of the alleged delivery.  The 'simple delivery' scheme looks flawed.

Well done with the documentation! I've had Kafka-esque situations with Yodel, but it seems EVRI is giving them a run for their money. To be fair to Simple Delivery, this is not a flaw in their system, but what looks like unprofessional behaviour from a delivery company. Glad eBay accepted your evidence.
