Is Evri killing Ebay?

There are plenty threads with people complaining about Evri, many have replys from happy customers saying  " I havn't had a problem with Evri" but if you did then you would find out just what a joke they are.

The measure of a company is how they deal with problems.

Try contacting customer services! They will email you quick smart.... but its just an automated reply, generic, sent to everyone that starts a chat on line .

Phone them...its no better.

They left my parcel outside in the street,(not the first time) its been stolen (also not the first time).

They have a tracking photo that proves non delivery, its in the street otside my closed door.

Yet ebay say the tracking shows delivered.

The sale of goods act 2015 means nothing to ebay.

For me, Evri is killing Ebay

I find royal mail and evri are both 100% royal mail to deliver and evri not to deliver the only way to solve this problem is to complain to OFCOM and get a complaint number there number is 03001233333 and citizens advice free number is 08082231133 if enough people complain maybe they will intervene and do something about this problem

Evri aren't regulated by Ofcom so there isn't much point complaining to them.

Re: Is Evri killing Ebay

You can opt out of EVRI as a delivery option on ebay - under 'Delivery Preferences'
I cannot find it at all now. But it's there. As usual, not made easy for the buyer...

Yes, I'm aware of that, thanks.  Here's a link to the Postage Preferences page:

Re: Is Evri killing Ebay

now Evri is shown as DHL

trying to hide the evri name everywhere, from buyers (simple delivery) and sellers (exclude options)

Re: Is Evri killing Ebay

I bought a nice vintage Hi Fi amp off here a few months ago that was in great cosmetic condition and Evri smashed it to pieces. I recently had something delivered click and collect to a shop and when I collected it the box was wide open. The contents were still present but had suffered damage, as if someone had opened it then decided they weren't interested. I've had trouble with Royal Mail but Evri are the winners by a long way. I think the problem is probably modern business practices where workers are driven to their limits by the number of deliveries they are forced to make.

Re: Is Evri killing Ebay

Absolutely. This states everything that’s wrong with EVRI and de facto EBay. I have started making offers conditional on not using EVRI. And don’t get me started on “Simple Delivery” - a misnomer if ever there was one. Every delivery is prefaced by telling me there’s been a delay. I know Cornwall’s the end of the country but it’s not the end the earth

Evri is regulated by Ofcom, but their oversight is next to pointless. Ofcom will not investigate individual complaints - not a surprise given that complaints could run in to the hundreds of thousands if not millions per year. It gives the advice to contact delivery companies with complaints and sets out the information that these companies should give regarding them, but makes no mention of dealing with the utterly useless and totally frustrating AI handling systems and if a complainant is still unhappy then Ofcom states the recourse is to seek legal advice.

Re: Is Evri killing Ebay

All postal services are regulated by Ofcom in that they must comply with set standards and regulations.  As stated they will not act on individual complaints however they do carry out studies and evaluations of performances.

It makes interesting reading.

Indeed and Royal Mail has just been fined £21m for failing to meet delivery targets. This money will go to HM Treasury rather than any compensation scheme for bad service.

Evri driver post on Reddit.

I currently have 7 items stuck in the system, late September dispatch, on another platform.
Never again.

DPD have also recently cut the amount they pay their drivers per small parcel.  The drivers staged some sort of protest earlier this month. It could all make for a difficult Christmas period.
