Is Evri killing Ebay?

There are plenty threads with people complaining about Evri, many have replys from happy customers saying  " I havn't had a problem with Evri" but if you did then you would find out just what a joke they are.

The measure of a company is how they deal with problems.

Try contacting customer services! They will email you quick smart.... but its just an automated reply, generic, sent to everyone that starts a chat on line .

Phone them...its no better.

They left my parcel outside in the street,(not the first time) its been stolen (also not the first time).

They have a tracking photo that proves non delivery, its in the street otside my closed door.

Yet ebay say the tracking shows delivered.

The sale of goods act 2015 means nothing to ebay.

For me, Evri is killing Ebay

Maybe yes, but now I simply dont buy from anyone who uses Evri, seems to solve the problem 🙂

Well, that's just being stupid because, as long as you're nice about it, then any seller who uses Evri might just switch to Royal Mail. I've no idea who I once did it with (or what I bought) but it seemed to work. For me, it's a bit like ordering  breakfast in a cafe; I will only eat scrambled egg and most cafes are happy to oblige.

Unless the parcel is to big for RM..then you have to use Parcel
Force/DPD/DHL which eBay doesn't support via their qr code system.

Evri are absolutely diabolical where I live, and if I ask a seller if it is possible to send something via the Royal Mail, the answer is almost always that they are more than willing to do so, but ebay's new system won't let them.

Surely this can't be right? It's clear we are not the only area where Evri are so dreadful - they happily leave items on a doorstep when people are in, but it's too much trouble to ring a doorbell.

Evri here seem to have a supplier of bone idle, ignorant and thoroughly useless individuals.

so who do you buy from when 99% of sellers use evri and you do not know who is going to deliver until afer you have ordered and paid for the goods and as other dissatisfied customers have already stated evri does run a blacklist but proving it is nigh impossible unless they slip up and you happen to get your order with the original label stuck underneath then you should not hesitate to contact a solicitor and take action as evri is dictating who you can trade with and who you cannot and i would think this is illegal i think this is called a monopoly

I just refuse to buy on Ebay have not for over 4 months. It's not Evri's fault it's the fault of who they have gone into partnership with that is forcing us to use them. I see that Inpost have bought Yodel out and now they refuse Evri's parcels causing even more problems in drop off locations. RM is my only option for several reasons mainly that they collect

hi olichris good of you to have had the *bleep* to take them to court if all the buyers did the same there would be no evri so problem solved i am having trouble with them at the moment with out boring you to death since tuesday they have message me stating i would receive my parcel that day this has gone on every day so i contacted there customer service on friday  i received a reply stating that they had missed the courier and on the bottom of the message there was a message how to receive you parcel on time use what 3 words, and register a safe place where to leave the parcel on i sent a reply informing them that what 3 words has been used for years because of there atrocious service and that my safe place to leave my parcel is outside my back door not my side doors but my back door i also requested why they had not delivered on the wednesday, thursday, and the friday on the saturday i was informed by customer services they were going to deliver that day lucky i did not hold my breath otherwise i would not be sending this message so could you please inform me how to go about taking action and where and to whom to send the summons thank you apprecated brian

if you have the proof get a spine and take them to court that is the only way to stop them taking every body for imbeciles so if you do not take action as a seller you deserve poor feedback and loss of customers and reputation because they treat your buyers in a worse manner

evri cannot deliver the parcels they are contracted to deliver now so how are they going to deliver more ebay has killed the high street now evri is killing ebay so in the end evri will have no one to deliver for unless they start selling and whos going to buy of them with there reputation it is dog eat dog

i hope that you had business insurance and goods in transit  insurance on your vehicle at the time because if not if you had had a accident your insurance would have been declared null and void by the insurance company leaving you liable perhaps this is why evri is so bad because there drivers are cutting corners all round  if they cannot be bothered to be legal they are not going to be bothered to deliver a parcel in the proper manner

Unfortunately it's not that simple now.

I've found most sellers are willing to send via the Royal Mail, but now because of ebay's new system, they are unable to change from Evri. The last time this happened to me, the most helpful seller tried to add Royal Mail, but was unable to do so - he thought I'd be able to choose at checkout, but this proved impossible. So, rather than risk Evri, who are diabolical where I live, he cancelled the sale, re-listed as a buy it now having removed Evri and listed with Royal Mail postage! He then told ne immediately he was re-listing so I could buy it at my winning auction price - which I did. But what a procedure!!

This is driving me away from buying on ebay. I will not risk items I want being dumped on my front doorstep and described as delivered.

From the now sparse listings in the categories I follow, it seems that private sellers are doing the same, and listing elsewhere.

It's a pity ebay have forgotten that the site was  originally set up for private sellers.

Evri are truly diabolical where I live - I will not use them, but apparently private sellers are  being forced by ebay to do so.

So what can we, as ebay users, do about the way ebay are forcing this lousy courier Evri on us?

Ebay don't give a damn what happens to anyone's items - like Evri, they just could not care less. Surely somehow, this virtual monopoly of Evri has to be stopped - but how????

Not from here but i've had some problems with Evri delivering, twice things went back to the seller and i don't why (i was refunded no problem) and a week ago 3 out of 4 bags of compost came with the 4th several days later. I cannot use them to sell as i need collection but would still prefer to use RM it's very rare to have a problem with them

Evri must have one helluva 'carrot' they are dangling, it's certainly not
service!. I believe they have taken over DHL and renaming it Evri
Prime. Something smells!.
