I won & paid for an item on 11th September. On 17th I chased seller who sent a photo to say she was having trouble finding a postage place that was accepting parcels. Following day item tracked as posted. Today 25th still no item & nothing changed just saying posted. Have used seller before and item was sent quickly on previous occassion. Do you think it was reasonable for me to have opened an INR today as seller not keeping in touch. They didn't even message to say had posted.

Based on the dates that you have given the item was purchased 2 weeks ago so I would say that you have waited more than a reasonable amount of time before opening an INR. The seller will now have a further 3 full business days in which to respond, which gives them until next Wednesday, almost a further week, so there is really nothing for them to complain about.

Dispatched on the 18th. What courier did you choose? And what does the Tracking Number say? If it were 2nd Class Royal Mail it is considered 'on time' for 10-days, for example. Depending on the service you chose you may have longer to wait, or it may be time to open an INR Case, as advised.
To be fair, EVRI had technical difficulties last week and were not taking or not picking up about 10% of parcels.
Most modern Sellers who use Tracked service let that do the talking for them: they don't message for dispatch, just activate the tracking. They also let tracking communicate expected delivery time.

Royal Mail may say to allow up to 10 days for delivery but it certainly wouldn't be considered as 'on time'. For 2nd class items Royal Mail has a delivery target of 3 working days (Mon-Fri), set by Ofcom, to comply with so anything after that is technically late.

If Simple Delivery is being used then the seller might actually be unable to communicate with the buyer regarding any delivery issues as eBay takes responsibility for those and, therefore, intervenes.

Seller has responded tonight to say finally posted this evening. I am not sure why it shows as posted on 18th as today 25th. I was not aware of Evri problem as the lady has still been delivering to me every day
