Help needed!

Going around in ever decreasing circles here. Can anyone help?  I bought some glyphosate weed killer on eBay. Two 5 ltr containers. When they arrived there was no mention of glyphosate but it said Ascetic Acid aka vinegar!!  I contacted seller who blamed everyone but themselves. They said to return items and they would give refund. I said I should get a return label as I should not be out of pocket for their mistake. So they sent me a return label QR code. Took parcel to post office and got proof of postage /tracking number. Sent tracking number to seller then all went quiet. No answers to emails nothing.  Tried to sort out on eBay website but all that happened there was that they sent me returns label which wasn’t what I wanted or needed. Two weeks later I contact eBay via a customer service number I saw on this forum.  Now I’m being told that as I returned item using sellers label NOT the label eBay sent ( that I didn’t even want or need in the first place) that they are not liable to honour the refund through the protection policy.  This can’t be right surely?  Can anyone help please?

Re: Help needed!

You have to keep returns on ebay otherwise they have no proof item has been sent back.   You could use the label provided now to send something to the seller.  Once it shows delivered the refund will be issued.
