I am a seller who has sold thousands of items through ebay over the years,
Now since ebay has started issuing their own delivery qr codes, I thought I might as well use them as they're probably even safer. I sent my parcel with the automated EVRI delivery
and Evri has now lost it. It is impossible to get trhough to them and its been a month. The seller wants a refund.
Do I get a refund from ebay too? Its their responsibility to offer a service that provides warranty. Why should I have my items lost.

Tell your buyer to open a 'not received' claim with ebay. And tell them it's ebay's job to refund, not yours!
Then, as it was Simple Del, ebay should refund your buyer.
You won't get anywhere trying to contact evri or packlink yourself.

By 'automated Evri delivery' do you mean 'Simple Delivery'?
If you do, then *ebay* not you, should refund the buyer.
If you were sent the postage label from ebay through the simple delivery system, it's ebay's job to refund the buyer, contact the courier and sort it out. Not yours.

Yes, the simple delivery. I tried to contact the packlink support to claim losses however haven't heard back

If it's Simple Delivery Packlink are not involved.
Ebay refunds the buyer, not you.

What if I refunded the buyer? Can I get compensated by ebay?

'What if I refunded the buyer? Can I get compensated by ebay?'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Don't have anything to do with the refund.
Just let ebay sort it out, and don't get involved.

"Why should I have my items lost." a seller I purchased from, asked that very question when we were trying to sort out what Evri had done with the package he had sent. Seems the seller really loses out when Evri doesn't deliver, etc. The buyer is refunded,..but what about the seller?
Interestingly enough, the package showed up the day Ebay was to have stepped in. This scenario has played out twice now; makes me wonder what ties Ebay has with Evri.

Under Simple Delivery eBay refund the buyer here, you still keep the original payment , so you do not lose out.

...I don't quite follow. So, you are saying: Under Simple Delivery eBay refunds the buyer and in addition, the seller keeps their payment? And, for the seller, there is no chasing a claim from the courier for a missing package?

'And, for the seller, there is no chasing a claim from the courier for a missing package?'
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is correct .... it's one of the good things about simple delivery.
Missing packages are very simple to sort out; ebay refunds the buyer. 😊
(Damages in the post may be more difficult to deal with, when there is the question of 'sufficient' packaging to take into account....)

What about the seller? Do they just lose the item without compensation as we don't get paid until its delivered.

With Simple Delivery :
If the parcel is *not* confirmed delivered, the seller will get the money 14 days after posting.
If the parcel is confirmed as lost before that 14 days is up, the payment might take longer (think I've heard 30 days somewhere...?) but the seller *will still get the payment*
With S.D. ebay take the hit , not the seller.

With no tracking to show delivery payouts are released after 14 days.
Under Simple Delivery sellers do not pay a buyer for items lost using eBay's SD delivery process, eBay makes those refunds.
Read about Simple Delivery here, it will explain the matter of lost or damaged items received.
