I have purchased Estee Lauder face cream. As soon as I purchased I looked at the reviews (note to self - do this before you buy). Sadly, the reviews were poor so I cancelled the order immediately. I had an immediate refund through Ebay.
I have now received the cream. As the reviews suggested it's counterfeit. What should I do? Do I return it or throw it away? Thanks for your help.

Normally i would advise contacting the seller and asking if they wanted it back, but as the seller has already refunded and the item is fake then i would just dispose of it.

If you have had a refund you can do what ever you want with it.
If you are 100% sure its counterfeit, I mean tested or verified by the manufacture, not yours or someone else's opinion, then do not send it back to the seller. It should be destroyed as you have no idea what ingredients are inside or what "if any" potential harmful bacteria or viruses could be cultivating in the cream.
Also if it is a UK business seller (google their address), report them to trading standards. Also it should noted that usually most beauty brands dont really want their products being sold on eBay.

As the reviews suggested it's counterfeit.
You know this because the manufacturer says so or because reviews say so.
You cant accuse things of being fake unless you are 100% certain.
But either way ask the seller if he wants it returning.
If yes he is supposed to supply a postage label.
if no then dispose of it.

Good advice, thank you. I must admit, I assumed it would be someone selling that maybe had it as a present or part of a gift box of Estee Lauder product. I've sold items I wouldn't use from a gift set. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The box is definitely not a legitimate box. The printing is not the same as a normal box and the product smells different to the actual product I have had home. Thanks for your response.
