If the transaction had been successful then the item would be showing up in your purchase history by now. If it is not then your attempt to make payment hasn't been successful.
If you do not appear to be able to make payment successfully with a credit or debit card on the site but the cards work perfectly fine elsewhere then there is one other option that you could try. Transfer some money from your bank or building society into your PayPal account, try to purchase the item again and when you get to the Checkout stage select PayPal as the payment option. So long as there are sufficient funds in your PayPal account the transaction will go through. Even if you don't have sufficient funds in your PayPal account then so long as your PayPal account has a credit or debit card linked to it that has enough money to cover the cost of the payment in full then PayPal will be able to use the card option to finance the payment.
If you have not already tried this out give it a go and see if it works. If the item subsequently appears in your purchase history after you have tried paying this way then you can rest assured that the transaction has been successful.
