Broken 78s

I'm *rude word* apoplectic! A trusted seller sent a correctly insulated box of 3 rare 78s from the USA to the UK. These were 'repacked' by an ill-informed idiot in the International Shipping Dept. Result: 1 record arrived intact in the original box; 2 others arrived in an eBay bag with no reinforcement - shaken out on the table in several pieces. Now I can't get a full refund because I mistakenly closed a Returns case for one of the records - ad the idiot shipper can't be got at of course.

That's infuriating.   You'd think the people working at these hubs would be trained in repackaging.   If you've bought from the seller before maybe they'll refund for the closed case too, as a goodwill gesture.

Sellers should consider having direct postage to overseas countries on their listings.   Dealing with the customs forms is not that hard.
