Advice on seller

Hello, I’m hoping someone can offer me some help won an item on the 21st of July item arrived yesterday badly damaged, contacted the seller who couldn’t understand why the item was so damaged, I then opened a return on eBay added pictures and was given a refund shortly after, the seller is asking me to return the broken item at my cost and she will refund me when she receives the item back, this I don’t believe as why not send me the postage money now, what do I do

If it was sent using simple delivery ebay issue the refund themselves and seller keeps payment.  You do not have to retirnitem but if you do seller must pay postage upfront.

Thanks for replying she sent it buy simple delivery and telling me I have been given a refund and she is out of pocket, so how does she get refunded from EBay I have already had my refund

She shouldn't be out of pocket.  She may assume the refund has been taken from her but it shouldn't have.  Tell her to check her account and if necessary she can contact ebay.  But its not your problem.  If she wants the item she must pay upfront.

She doesn't get refunded by ebay, her payment (from you), will be released to her.

There is absolutely no need for you to send it back, she will be in exactly the same position financially as she would have been if the item arrived intact.

She is telling me there is nothing in her eBay i have been refunded

Her payment may be subject to a payment hold.  Tell her to take it up with ebay, it's not your problem.

Thank you I have just spoken to eBay to confirm what as been told in this group and they have sent her a message, they also told me to ignore or block her many thanks
