wrong size ordered had all photo proofs but found the sellerf had deleted themselves so had no further chance of sorting it. neither ebay or paypal did not help
As you ordered the wrong size, it is up to you to pay to return the goods. Sellers are only responsible for return costs when the item arrives damaged, faulty or not as described. It's possible to return such goods using Ebay's returns system (you pay for the postage label), but not possible via PayPal - PayPal, like all payment processors, can only assist with items which arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described.
If the seller's account has been closed, it will have been closed by Ebay (sellers can't remove themselves until 6 months have passed from their last sale), I doubt you'll be able to buy postage via Ebay's returns system. But check your Purchase History to see if the option is still there.
If not, you will have to buy tracked postage at the Post Office or from the carrier of your choice. You may be eligible for PayPal's 'Returns on us' scheme', though, so check it out. If so, once you've returned the goods by trackable means, you can lodge a claim for the postage costs using your Proof of Posting receipt and proof of cost, as per PayPal's instructions. I used it the other day (not for an Ebay purchase but something else), and it worked a treat. 🙂
Not sure where 'dollars' come into the equation...? You're in the UK so pay in £UK. If you're trying to say that you bought the item from outside the UK, your best bet would be to simply sell the item on yourself, as it's unlikely that PayPal will bear the whole cost of an international return.
