how long has ebay allowed sellers to sell fake items

i brought a job lot watches, and when i received them there was several fakes, i opened a case and stated the seller  had sold me fake watches, the next thing i got a message stating case had closed in the favour of the seller. so i take it now we can all sell fake items here on ebay am i right ??

Do you really believe that ebay examne every one of the millions of items listed and even if they did that their staff are qualified to identify fake items.

As sellers do not list items as fakes and are hardly liely to admit it, that is where the Report Button on every listing comes in.

How many have you reported??

well that would be stupid to think that John1297576, if you receive a fake then its up to the buyer to report it i did and i lost the case, so i take it anyone can sell fake items and get away with it even if its reported

There is something odd about your case, seller can't close it that quick if you claimed not as described.

i even left negative feedback, nothing nasty just said . Seller sold me Fake watches, And the negative feedback was removed, , so whats the point of the negative option if you use it and ebay remove it

I didn't say you were lying, just odd why case was closed so quick.
We don't have all the facts, you do, worth trying to contact ebay CS 1st thing in the morning when Dublin are replying.
