accepting partial refund from seller. keep or return item?

hi,

so i bought a pair of size 9 ea7 trtainers bnwt off ebay.

on arrival they where a size too big (label says 9) and the tags not attatched, leading me to believe they are not genuine (i have had ea7 before)

i asked to return for a refund but seller declined.

i then open a dispute through paypal, then a claim.

paypal decided in my favour and seller offered a partial refund.

after searching as to what it meant i thought this meant that the trainers would not need returning, therefore i could sell on or give away.

i then accepted the partial refund and since then have recieved several emails to the address linked to my paypal (private email) asking for me to do the "decent thing" and return them.

although i have no issue returning the item as they are of no use to me, i would expect as a minimum to get a full refund, if not return postage paid as well

am i right in not retuning them for a partial refund? and if so how can i stop the sellers harrassment

thanks

partial refunds mean you keep the item

if the selller wants the item back they have to refund in full and pay the return costs!

just ignore the seller.

Have you actually received the partial refund or is it just a "promise" which will be quickly forgotten.

Partial refunds are just between buyer and seller, there is no way to enforce.

I am afraid this seller is trying it on, hoping to get away with a part refund and still have the trainers or more likely no refund at all.

If you have opened a case with paypal I am afraid that you will have topay return postage unless yo u can use their "offer" there is no way to make the seller pay up, that only applies to Ebay Not As Described Cases which is what you should have opened in the first place.

You really should read the Money Back Guarantee which ebay put on every listing and use the procedures as instructed. It makes it so much simple, and not so much chance of a seller wriggling out of their responsibilities.

Yes, you're right.  What the seller wants makes no sense.  Why would you accept a partial refund and return them when you would be entitled to a full refund plus return postage.

Tell the seller you'll be forced to report them to ebay if they continue.  And if they do you can ring ebay or speak to live help at the bottom of this:
