Why are sellers able to lie about an item's location. Asian sellers falsely show item is in UK

More than once recently I have bought items which the listing shows to be located in UK.

Then there is a long delay because the item is coming slowly from Asia, usually China.

Why doesn't Ebay prevent these dishonest listings?

indeed there are many buyers making the same complaint and despite that I've only ever seen one who left feedback to reflect their experience.

So why not leave feedback, it would help to warn others?
