You do nothing of the sort. You open a return Case, if it is not as described, the seller supplies a reply paid label, if a change of mind return you return to the address supplied by ebay.

Only proof of delivery to that address will get a refund, if you have to ask ebay to step in. Any other address and you are relying on the seller to refund, but you cannot force it, and they are not likely to refund voluntarily.

You will see we are are all giving the same advice.

Don't message your seller, don't put up with excuses.

You open a claim using the eBay Money Back Guarantee then await a prepaid label label which you stick on the return package.

`not return address, message us for correct address"

If they know the return address is incorrect, then they could easily change it, so they are trying to get it sent to a different

address so they can deny it was ever returned, so as advised and for future reference for any return, always stick with the case

and only return to the address given to you on the label supplied. If the seller tries to refuse delivery or is awkward about it, it doesn`t matter, because only `attempted delivery` needs to be made for a refund.

Ive had to open a not as described case today for an item and the seller tried to treat me like an idiot by telling me it`s my job to pay return postage, Ebay told him.

So you have to have both eyes open on here, because if people can, they will 🙂

Read Ebay's Money Back Guarantee (on every listing, and in various other places across the site) to learn what to do when you wish to return an item.

Once opened, do not close the return request on a promise. Closed return requests and cases cannot be reopened. You get one chance per transaction. Follow Ebay's instructions to the letter, so that you get a tracked returns label for return to the seller's Ebay-registered address. You'll receive a full refund once tracking proves delivery or attempted delivery back to that address. You MUST return to that address and no other, or you will lose buyer protection. If the seller has failed to update his address details in his Ebay account, that is his problem, not yours.
