To eBay - Why are sellers in the UK listed when "European Union" is selected in the search filter?

Has eBay not read the news? Sellers in the UK are not in the EU any more - why are they still listed when the EU filter is applied? Like a lot of others, I am trying to buy from EU sellers to avoid the extra post Brexit costs.

if you don't want to see UK items don't use ebay.uk to search

use a non UK ebay site

I am using EBay.ie not the UK site. Also UK sellers make up the majority of the results, which is problematic when you are only looking for sellers in the EU.
