I'd appreciate some help. I saw a pair of earrings but missed bidding on them and they sold. They were then listed again and I figured the sale hadn't gone through. I bid on them and won. The seller contacted me to say they weren't sterling silver as described but I didn't see that message until she had sent them to me. When they arrived they were tarnished in places too so I arranged to return. She apologised profusely, saying they were her mother's, who lived elsewhere. She asked me to return them to her mother and told me to send them second class post. She acknowledged receipt and said she was having a problem refunding me and said she'd send it to my PayPal account. I thought it had come through but when I checked I was tired and forgot that a minus figure isn't a credit on PayPal. I contacted her to ask her to check but she hasn't replied. The cut-off date is tomorrow and there appears to be no option for contacting ebay about it.
There could be a bona fide reason for her not refunding me or replying but I am concerned this could be a fraudulent seller plus I don't want to be out of pocket. What is my best course of action?
By everything you have said it appears you did not use the eBay 30 day money back guarantee.
You have returned a item to a different address than the one sent from, untracked, and all arranged via eBay messages.
WHY?.
