Seller cancelled an item that I won. What now?

Hi,

Today I had a rather bizarre experience on ebay.

So I won an item on ebay. Seller mentioned that it was for collection only.

I offered the seller for it to be collected by a delivery company and asked the seller if I should pay via ebay or upon collection.

Seller suddenly decided to cancel the purchase, as seller said I was stressing her/him, because i should be the one collecting it not a dlivery company.

I am honestly left puzzled. Seller cancelled the item, I am not even able to leave any feedback. Seems a bit one-sided and unfair...

Any suggestions from people here who've had similar experiences?

Also, do I get charged by ebay or get blocked?

Thanks.

Of course you can leave feedback, look in MORE ACTIONS. While I can only guess at the reason, if picked up by a Courier or anyone other than YOU the buyer, there is no buyer protection even if paid by paypal and any problems, for example damage in transit or not as described are between you and whoever picked up the item, not the seller . That is fine if you accept the risk but as with all things ebay there have been cases where refunds have been made when cases have been opened and against all the rules Ebay has found in favour of the buyer. Selling can be a risky business for sellers as there is virtually no seller protection.
