Retracting a bid

I accidently clicked the Bid button rather than the Make an Offer on a product. The seller is happy to accept my offer but we can't find any way of either me retracting it or her cancelling it...the article on retracting a bid says 'contact the seller' hahaha...any help please?

Once you bid, offers are no longer available.

Seller would have to end listing, but they will be charged 10% of your bid, so not fair on seller.

Try here:

Or ask the seller to go to Site Map (bottom of any page) > scroll down past the categories to Sell > Selling Activities > Cancel Bids on Your Listing

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/bidding/retracting-bid?id=4013&st=12&pos=1&query=Retracting%20a%2...

Retracting a bid is simple enough but bid in error is not an allowed reason.

Even if retracted I am fairly certain that the Best Offer Facility will be reinstated.

Seller could end the listing selling to you, the highest bidder, then you send a request to cancel, that would get the selling fee refunded. Then he could relist and you make your offer.
