Long delivery time means purchase no longer listed in support - how do I resolve issue with item?

I bought an item of furniture last August from what I was confident was a reputable company. The delivery date kept being put back for various reasons and it did not arrive until a couple of weeks ago. Furniture often does take a few weeks and, while not ideal, there have been some unusual circumstances in the last year so I was not too concerned about this. Unfortunately now it has arrived there is an issue with the item and I have not had much success getting any sense out of the company, either to help me resolve it or to suggest what happens next if it cannot be resolved.

The problem is that the purchase is now so far back that this does not show up when I go to any of the support pages on ebay (there are various places where you need to select the order that you are having the issue with). The item number is not even recognised any more when I try to contact the seller through ebay (I have contacted them via a direct email address).

Is there any way I can get support from ebay with my issue and how would I go about doing it?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

eBay's deadline is 30 days so it's way too late for them but Paypal's is longer at 180 days so you can try them.

If successful you would be expected to return the item.   You can sign up to get some of the return postage paid:

https://www.paypal.com/gb/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns

Then open a Paypal "not as described" case here:

https://www.paypal.com/uk/disputes/

And escalate it after 2 days and before 20 days.
