I bought 2 security cameras from an ebay busines seller over 12 months ago. Both these cams have now let in water and the manuf will not honour garantees since seller is not an authroised dealer. Cams were bough new in box. I had no reason to suspect they were not legit. Seller is not answering my messeges so I suspect counterfit goods. I cant find any way to complain to ebay about a transaction that is over 90 days old.
Ebay has never allowed 90 days. If you read the Money Back Guarantee, you'll see that you have 30 days from the last delivery date on the order in which to open a case that can be escalated to Ebay. There are links to the MBG on every listing, in various other places across the site, and on your order confirmation.
But understand that the MBG can legally only cover items which you can see are damaged, faulty or not as described on receipt. The same applies to payment processors. They cannot help you with goods which fail in use and while under warranty. That is between you and the seller, and the courts if the seller proves to be unhelpful. So go to the CAB's website to see if there's anything you can do, just as you would if you'd bought from an unhelpful retailer in your local mall.
