I recently was sent a return label by a seller before I could send it he changed his address.

Hi

I recently received I return label for a faulty item from a seller, before I could send it, he messaged me that he had changed his address and wanted me to amend it to his new address. Reluctantly, I did so. My local Post Office refused to accept it. I contacted the seller again and he now wants me resend to his original address, where he says it will be redirected to his present address via the post office. I am doubtful about doing this. I have tried to contact Ebay UK customer service about this problem but have been unsuccessful. I have advised the seller to update his address with Ebay.  Whats your advice please?

Thank you

You should have sent to the address on the label. That is the only one that ebay will accept and delivery or attempted delivery would have been sufficient to get a refund even if you had to escalate to ebay to get it.

You won't get a second label, seller has effectively fooled you into avoiding a refund.

You can however still open a Not As Described case with Paypal, but first see if you can use the OFFER (look in offers) on paypal as otherwise you have to pay the return postage. Once opened escalate asap, but must be after day 2 and by day 20 or the case will just close.
