I purchased a 4 metre awning from a seller via Ebay UK, the seller has a UK business address & the item was dispatched from the UK. Because I suffer from a heart condition I was unable to check the full package (too heavy, I know my bad), then with Covid 19 I couldn't get a builder to erect the item, when I did manage this they found 3 wall brackets were missing. I contacted the seller 3 times though Ebay but they never replied. Ebay were unable to help due to time lapse but suggested I contacted Paypal as I paid by debit card though them.
Seller offered a full refund if I returned the item (return postage to be paid by me) but they gave Paypal a return address in China. I was offered £15 though Paypal's return postage policy but the quote for postage was nearly £300 double what I paid for the awning.
Paypal will be closing this dispute case soon in favour of the seller.
Ebay have been lovely over this matter but I'm at my wits end, I'm left with a garden awning I can't use & £149.99 out of pocket. Any one out there got any ideas how too help please.

adding to the advice already given -
Unless things have changed [I hope for you they have] PayPal returns are to the registered address the seller has with PayPal and not the item location.
However PayPal do have a plan that a buyer can sign up to for free returns.
