I bought a Samsung Galaxy s9 plus phone from Ebay with 12 months warranty, after 4 months it stopped

I bought a Samsung Galaxy s9 plus phone from Ebay which came with 12 months warranty purchased through paypal. After 4 months the phone stopped working and would not switch on. Thinking it might be the battery went to the phone shop to have the battery replaced on checking the battery I was told the battery was okay that the issue was with the phone itself  that it was completely dead.

I reported this to the seller who replied that the phone not working is not covered by the warranty, is this correct?

Reading the T&C for Paypal it stated that Paypal's warranty does not extend to cables, accessories, plugs or power supply. Has everyone experienced this before?

I think you are possibly getting confused here.

PayPal offer buyer protection, they do not offer any kind of warranty. Buyer protection runs for 180 days from date of payment

You need to look at what you purchased first of all.

Was the mobile purchased from a business seller or a private seller.

Was the phone brand new, boxed, unused, or was it used.

Was any warranty mentioned within the actual listing.. Please note. Warranty not buyer protection.

Can you supply the date of purchase.
