How to pay on a Collection Only item

I'm currently winning a 'Collection Only' item. If I do win the auction which is the best way to pay ?

Do I pay by Paypal before collection.

Do I pay cash when collecting ?

Which is the best way to do this ?

I really do need advice on this.

cash on collection,

thoroughly inspect the item before handing over the money,

if it isn't as described walk away with the money in your pocket

I've messaged the seller. Asking them that should I have the winning bid, can I have the box open and ready for inspection.
I haven't bought anything like this before.
