A bit of a confusing reply from a responder which I will clarify.

A item is listed at £10 with P.P of £2

Your offer is £8

The P.P is still £2. So your total purchase price is £10

A seller can reduce postage if you pay for two items having used best offer..But they cannot increase the postage charge above what the listing stated when you made your offer.

It does tell you when you make an offer. If item is £10 with P & P of £2, but you only want to spend £10 then you would make an offer of £8.

It is not correct however to say that postage cannot be changed. Seller can edit postage and send an amended invoice, which would be needed in any case if combining postage.

As I did just that yesterday I know it works.

When you make a best offer all the terms and conditions including the displayed post and packing remain the same.

A seller cannot change anything and certainly cannot change the post and packing charges.
