How to hide search suggestions on search bar?

It used to appear an option on the bottom of the suggestions list to hide them, but its gone.

Hello
I noticed this as well, it is very annoying. I contact ebay via chat to report this and it took a while for them to understand the issue as they were unaware of the option to do this. However I did manage to send them a link to an image of the search box showing the orange hide suggestions button.
They did tell me they would pass it on to their technical teams to investigate, but I am not confident it will be fixed. When I have reported previous issues with the site they have remained unresolved.
I would suggest if more people report it via chat it may help getting it fixed. If you want to report it go to help and support, type in technical issues in the how can we help you box and a link to what to do if you are having technical issues will and appear. Click on this and scroll to the bottom of the page, then click on need more help -chat.
