How do i search my purchase history for an item bought long ago? We have made 100s of purchases

First of all go back to your Purchase History on your My eBay page.  Look at the section along the top where it says "See Orders From..."  The default setting says "Last 60 Days" but you can manually override this by pulling up the drop-down menu and switching it to reveal all purchases made this year, purchases made last year and purchases made the year before last.  If you've got a rough idea as to when you purchased the item then you should be able to find the item faster - for example, if you knew that you definitely purchased the item some time last year then all you'd have to do would be to select "2019" from the list and start searching until you find the item you are looking for.

In the event that you haven't got a clue how far back you purchased the item then start with the items purchased this year and search all of those purchases.  If you can't find it there then switch to last year's purchases, and if you still can't find it then select the option to search everything purchased during 2018.  If you purchased the item on or after Monday 1st January 2018 then you ought to be able to find the item in your Purchase History if you trawl through the results to locate the item; however, if the item was purchased prior to this date then it will have disappeared off of eBay's servers by now and you won't be able to find it on your Purchase History.
