Hi waiting on a parcel to be delivered , due lat week. Tracking says it is still in Hermes warehouse Despite in Rugby, delivery date for last week. When contacting Hermes they say to contact parcel link. The tracking number I have for parcel link isn't being accepted! It would be nice to speak to a real person and get my daughters birthday present. Can anyone help???
I'm surprised you don't know that deliveries are naturally subject to long delays at present, due to carriers working with a massively reduced workforce, and to the huge increase in online shopping, both as a result of Covid-19. You will have to be patient.
Hermes won't speak to you because you don't have a contract with them (and the item is still on its way). Your contract is with the seller, not with Hermes.
If the seller bought the postage on Ebay, they don't have a contract with Hermes either. Their contract is with Packlink (not Parcel Link), as that is who they bought the postage from. Packlink is the broker that Ebay uses, and Packlink buy the postage from Hermes once they've received payment from the seller.
If, after you've read the above, you still want to waste the seller's, Packlink's and Hermes' valuable time and manpower in chasing a package which will be delivered when it's humanly possible, contact the seller. Though if I were you, I would rein in my impatience and wait. You have 30 days from the delivery estimate on the order in which to open an Item Not Received case on Ebay, so there's no rush. If I was your daughter, I would totally understand that a birthday present arriving late was not the end of the world.
Have you contacted the seller?
that would be your first port of call...
did The seller give you the tracking number?
if you feel you have given enough time for delivery ( considering the circumstances) you can open a not received case and escalate to eBay after 8 days...
