Hi all. Has anybody else had issues when contacting a seller?

Hi all. Has anybody else had issues when contacting a seller? I spoke to the help team via telephone and she said that some messages are not getting through and thet eBay knew about the issue and were looking in to it.

I have nessaged a seller 3 time recently, and messaged them by using a different item just to make sure, and no response?

Regards

If it isn't in you're sent folder (your post doesn't say), it hasn't been sent. This is an oft-occuring glitch.

If it's in your sent folder, it should have been received. Perhaps the seller is unwell, had an accident, or has possibly even died.

Why are you trying to message them...?  If for an item that's not been received, or has arrived damaged, faulty, or not as described, you don't need to contact them. You just use the tools that Ebay has supplied:

Read the Money Back Guarantee (on every listing, in various other places across the site, and on your order confirmation) and follow the instructions. You also have the More Actions dropdown beside the transaction on your Purchase History page, the Resolution Centre (foot of any page), and the Help pages with their integral search to refer to.

I have the same problem.  I haven't been able to send or receive messages for over a week now.  Never happened to me before. What the heck is going on?

It would help so much if you had said WHY you wish to contact this seller?

It could be anything from asking a question about an item for sale to a dispute over a faulty item, or one that didn't arrive.

If we knew what it was about we could suggest what to do. Many buyers who think they need to contact their selller, don't. Most of eBay's procedures are automated, all buyers need to do is to follow them.

If messages don't work, have you tried the email address now provided, a rather long ebay generated email address, but obviously for use if needed.

Why do you need to contact a seller, unless for a Collection Item and you need the address, there should be no need to contact a seller? All problems are dealt with throught the Resolution Centre, sellers cannot ignore those without penalties, and if they don't deal with it then you can escalate (ask ebay to step in).

Hi

On this occasion Ebay CS are probably correct in what they say.

For some time Ebay messages have been very glitchy 😞

May i ask why you need to contact the seller.....is it about a recent purchase?
