There is an error on my account, a seller has not responded to many messages and it is impossible to find a way of actually speaking to someone at Ebay about this. Can anyone help me?
Thank you
Doesn't sound like anything ebay should do. It is in your hands, you make mistakes you put them right.
If you had said exactly what the problem was, you would have had an answer, rather than trying to contact ebay when it is almost certainly unnecessary.
It's the holidays, so most sellers are taking a break, meaning you're unlikely to get a response till tomorrow at the earliest.
Ebay can't make errors on your account - your account details are entered by you, and Ebay doesn't and can't make any changes to them.
No, there is no phone number currently (and there has been no email support for many years). You have Live Chat and Request-a-callback, both available in Help & Contact during working hours. But Ebay can't help you with errors you've made on your account - only you can correct them.
If you failed to update your address details, which is what I suspect, and your order hasn't been shipped, all you can do is ask the seller to cancel the order (Ebay can't cancel it for you). However, if they are a private seller, they don't have to; it is only UK business sellers who are required to accept cancellation requests.
how exactly have ebay made an error on your account?
you set up your account and imput the details, ebay don't
Enter "Advanced Search" into Help and Contact at the top of the Page. Scroll down to the Phone Link for EBay to Call you back. Live Chat should also be available.
Or just ask on here. Someone will help you.
